Student Representative to the Board of Education

Our Board of Education is looking to add a student representative to their team. Beginning this school year, a student representative will participate as a non-voting representative to the Board of Education.  The goal of the student representative is to give input on matters that affect all students and work together with the Board of Education to promote open communication between the Board and the students of District 124.  The student representative will serve as an “ex officio member,” meaning they are encouraged to participate in discussions, but may not vote on them.

The District 124 Board of Education is a policy-making body responsible for selecting the superintendent and adopting and enforcing all necessary rules for the management and governance of the school district.  The Board of Education consists of seven elected members.  Additional information regarding the Board of Education may be found here.
