Fidelity Update
2023-24 PBIS Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI)
Grant Community High School has been implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) for a few years. In order to ensure fidelity of implementation of the core features of PBIS, the Leadership Team utilizes the TFI as recommended by Midwest PBIS. This instrument provides a valid, reliable, and efficient measure of the extent to which our school personnel are applying the core features of school-wide positive behavioral interventions and supports. Our efforts have been focused on implementing the Tier I structure to build a strong foundation for success for all students.

As one can see from the graph, Grant Community High School has shown significant progress in the implementation of PBIS at Tier 1 over the past three academic years. The data indicates a consistent improvement in Tier 1 implementation fidelity.
More specifically, in the 2021-22 academic year, the Tier 1 implementation fidelity was at 83%, reflecting a strong foundation for PBIS practices at the school. By the 2022-23 academic year, the Tier 1 implementation fidelity increased to 90%, demonstrating a notable advancement in the school's commitment to PBIS principles and strategies. Finally, the most recent data for the 2023-24 academic year shows a substantial rise in Tier 1 implementation fidelity to 97%, indicating a high level of adherence to PBIS practices and a strong culture of positive behavior support at Grant Community High School.
Overall, the progression in Tier 1 implementation fidelity reflects the school's dedication to effectively implementing PBIS, creating a positive and supportive school environment, and fostering the well-being and success of all students.
Our PBIS Team has been able to implement various school-wide activities aiming to assist our students with Keeping It RED. Our next step is to organize various existing Tier 2 programs and supports into a coherent and efficient Tier 2 structure.
