Bilingual & English Learners

  • Grant Community High School students who are non-English or limited-English speakers are provided with participation in the English Learners (EL) Language Program.  While involved in this program, students have the opportunity to strengthen their English reading and writing skills.  Every effort is made to increase the English fluency of limited-English speakers; the EL staff guides and provides support to students.

Appropriate placement of students in the EL program is done through National and State Testing, Home Language Surveys, and the cooperative efforts of the Student Services Department and the EL Staff.
