Freshman Honors Breakfast

At the conclusion of the first semester, GCHS honors freshmen who have attained an unweighted grade point average of 2.8 or higher, participated in at least one co-curricular activity, and maintained a 95% or better attendance rate. By maintaining this trajectory for the next three years, your student is on track to graduate with honors. Families with students who meet these requirements will receive communication from the Principal's Office in April with more information.

Distinguished Bulldog

At the conclusion of their senior year, GCHS recognizes students as Distinguished Bulldogs for demonstrating exceptional academic achievement, college readiness, and career preparedness throughout their high school experience. To earn this distinction, students must maintain a 3.75 or higher unweighted grade point average, achieve 95% or better attendance, earn an ACT composite score of 30 or higher, meet one English Language Arts and one Math Academic Indicator, and complete three College and Career Readiness Indicators. Students who meet these requirements will be recognized at Senior Honors Night.

Bulldog Scholar (College & Career Ready)

At the conclusion of their senior year, GCHS recognizes students as Bulldog Scholars (College & Career Ready) for demonstrating a commitment to academic success and postsecondary readiness. To earn this distinction, students must maintain a 2.80 or higher unweighted grade point average, achieve 95% or better attendance, complete a Career Endorsement or have a Career Cluster on file, meet one English Language Arts and one Math Academic Indicator, and complete three College and Career Readiness Indicators. Students who meet these requirements will be recognized at Senior Honors Night.
