Grant Gala
April 2, 2024
Dear GCHS Families and Friends,
We hope this letter finds you well. After taking a one-year hiatus, Grant Community High School is actively beginning to plan for the November 2, 2024, Foundation Gala event. The Foundation has been instrumental in enriching opportunities for our students since its inception in 1985. The Foundation provides invaluable assistance for school-related expenses for families in financial need, scholarships for outstanding student achievements, and funds for innovative classroom projects and instructional technologies. All of these initiatives have contributed significantly to the growth and success of our students.
The primary fundraising source for the Foundation is the Annual Gala Dinner Dance and funds raised on this evening enable us to continue providing essential support to our students. The success of the Gala depends not only on the generosity of donors but also on the dedication of volunteers who contribute their time, energy, and resources to make it a memorable and impactful evening.
We are reaching out to you today to invite you to consider volunteering for this year's Gala event. Your involvement as a volunteer can make a tremendous difference in the lives of our students. Whether you can assist with event planning, securing donations, setup, decorations, assistance at the event, or any other aspect of the Gala, your contribution will be highly valued and appreciated.
By volunteering for the Gala, you will not only support a worthy cause, but also have the opportunity to network with fellow GCHS stakeholders, strengthen community bonds, and experience the joy of giving back to our school community. Your participation will showcase our collective commitment to education and student success.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like more information about how you can contribute to the Gala, please contact Kris Olk, assistant to Superintendent Christy Sefcik, at kolk@grantbulldogs.org or (847) 973-3414.
Thank you for considering this invitation, and we look forward to seeing our school community come together to make this year's Gala a resounding success.
Sincerely,
Dr. Christy Sefcik & the GCHS Foundation Board of Directors
