The Boosters are looking for concession volunteers and need your help! Sign up now and support your Bulldogs at home!



We are looking for students who are interested in hosting TEAM Live this semester. If you want to host TEAM Live and help deliver announcements to the entire school, fill out the interest form. All interested students will receive an email next week with more information. If you have any questions, reach out to Mrs. Sullivan.
Lake County Rising is having an essay/poster/poem contest to support and empower young women. Lake County Rising is an organization dedicated to raising awareness about the abuse women and girls experience and to take a stand to end it. The theme for 2026 is: “Reclaim. Resist. Rise.” Against abuse. Against toxic norms. For every girl’s right to be real. The deadline to submit an entry is January 19th. Please see Mrs. Bilbrey for more information.

Curious about different medical careers? Want to learn about emergency medicine? Thinking about pursuing a job in medicine? If so, join MEDS club to learn more about the field of medicine. We meet every other Friday morning at 7:15 am in room 289.

Happy New Year, Sophomores! Our next Sophomore Class Council meeting will be on January 13, 2026, in Room 216 @ 7:15. All sophomores are welcome to attend!
Sophomore Class Council invites all class councils to attend Feed My Starving Children on Thursday, February 12, from 5-6:30 PM. We will leave at 4:10 PM from GCHS and return at approximately 7:15 PM. Please let your Class sponsor know if you would like to join us by January 27.

Athletic Announcements


Last Sunday, Grant Dance participated in one of their most challenging competitions yet at D117. Both teams rose to the occasion! Varsity placed 8th out of 26 routines, and JV earned 9th 💪 Both teams are locked in and ready for Conference this Friday at Wauconda High School! Come support your dancing bulldogs as they defend their title!
Happy New Year, Softball Bulldogs! Just under 2 months until Softball tryouts, so we are going to get going with workouts beginning next week (1/12/26), and they will go after school on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. If you are not in a sport, then you are expected to be there. If you are a freshman/incoming player who is interested in joining softball, please come see Coach Van Alstine in Room 190, so he can get you linked on Google Classroom for all our announcements. Are you interested in joining the 2026 Boys or Girls Track and Field team? Registration is now open. The season officially begins on January 21st. If you are currently in a winter sport, you can still register for the season and then join us once your winter sport season is over. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mr. Nenni (Boys) in room 160 or Mr. Wodzien (Girls) in the Dean's Office.
The Varsity Boys Wrestling Team competed this weekend at the 27th Annual Cheesehead Tournament in Kaukauna, WI, finishing in 20th place (42 teams) in an invite-only, nationally and highly competitive field. Several Bulldogs achieved top-ten finishes, led by Vince Jasinski with an impressive 3rd-place performance. Jayce Glauser placed 8th, and Casey Gipson secured a 10th-place finish. Additional strong showings came from Erik Rodriguez (11th), Aaden Arroyo (16th), Ajani Williams (17th), and Breiydyn Hoffman (19th). The Bulldogs return to action on Thursday with an away dual against Grayslake Central, followed by a home matchup on Friday versus Wauconda as we celebrate Boys Wrestling Senior Night.

Attention Seniors: Did you know that Grant Community High School will be awarding over $35,000 in local scholarship funds at its Senior Honors Night at Maravela’s in May 2026? Many available scholarships only require submission of a common application in a Community Scholarship Schoology course. Reach out to your counselor today to ask for the join code and throw your hat in the ring. All applications and additional addendums (for those scholarships that require them) are due by January 31, 2026. There are a variety of scholarship opportunities from trades scholarships to community college scholarships to scholarships for students pursuing specific majors, such as education or nursing, and those who have participated in certain co-curricular activities (baseball, athletics, marching band, etc.). Get your brag sheets ready and apply for our scholarship programs today to help secure the financing you need to pursue your passions after high school graduation. Let’s go, Class of 2026!
