  • 2020-21 PBIS Fidelity Update

Grant Community High School has been implementing PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) for a few years. In order to ensure fidelity of implementation of the core features of PBIS the Leadership Team has utilized the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI).  This instrument provides a valid, reliable, and efficient measure of the extent to which our school personnel are applying the core features of school-wide positive behavioral interventions and supports.  Our efforts have been focused on implementing the Tier I structure to build a strong foundation for success for all students.

GCHS Fidelity Inventory - April 2021As one can see from the graph, despite all the challenges related to remote learning, we have achieved 97% PBIS Tier I fidelity this year.  Our PBIS Team has been able to implement various school-wide activities aiming to assist our students with Keeping It RED in both remote and in person settings.  A big shout out goes to our English and PE Department for all their help with teaching Grant students about self-care, executive functioning skills, and other important school-wide lessons.

Our next step is to start working on planning and implementing the Tier II structure of support.  Overall, we have made great progress. Way to go Grant!
