Dear Grant Family and Friends,
I hope all is well with you and each of your families. While we are busy preparing for students to return in a blended learning format on October 19th, we haven’t lost sight of the importance of the Grant Community High School Foundation. We very much wish we could have gotten together for the 26th Annual Grant Gala event on November 7th. However, we all know that just wasn’t possible this year.
What I can share with you is that there continues to be a significant need for Foundation funds this school year to support students and their families. With the Gala the only fundraising event for the Foundation, the inability to hold the event means that we may need to scale back on the support we can provide.
You are receiving this communication because you have been a past supporter of the Grant Community High School Foundation and Grant Gala event. We very much appreciate the support you have provided at previous events. The Foundation could not exist without the community and business partners that we have and felt it important to make you aware that the need for support still exists. We share this while fully recognizing that the past seven months may have been both personally or financially challenging for you and completely understand if you are unable to support the Foundation this year.
If you are able to consider a monetary donation, you can donate any time by clicking here. As a 501(c)3 organization, your donation may be tax deductible.
Thank you for your consideration.

Dear Grant Family and Friends,
I hope this communication finds you and yours well. I want to say thank you for being a valued member of our Grant Community in so many ways.
While it was a difficult decision, we have decided to not hold the 26th Annual Grant Gala event which was scheduled for Saturday, November 7, 2020. Gatherings of 50 people or more are not allowed by executive order and it is not known if/when these social events will be permitted. Additionally, we recognize the last several months may have been financially challenging for the many individuals and local businesses that help to make this event successful.
We do, however, anticipate seeing an increased need for student support as a result of the pandemic. The Foundation will make every effort to continue to serve our students in financial need. While we can’t gather as we have in the past to support them, we hope that you will still consider making a donation. The Grant Community High School Foundation accepts monetary donations at any time on our website.
As a 501(c)3 organization, your donation may be tax deductible. Donations will be used to provide assistance for school-related expenses for students whose families are in financial need, provide student scholarship opportunities, provide funds for instructional classroom technology and innovative classroom projects, and other charitable and educational purposes
We are looking forward to hosting this wonderful event in the future. The tentative date for 2021 is Saturday, November 6, 2021! We sincerely hope we can be together then!
Due to the pandemic and gathering limitations, the Grant Community High School Foundation Annual Gala Dinner Dance for 2020 has been canceled. We are hopeful the 26th Annual Gala Dwill take place on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Donations continue to be accepted by clicking on Donate Now link below!
The following information is on hold:
The Gala, which combines a live auction, silent auction, dinner and dance, is an evening dedicated to supporting the Foundation.

- Student Scholarships – provides numerous scholarships for outstanding student achievements in academics, leadership, public service, performing arts, and much more.
- Instructional Innovations – provides funds for instructional technologies and innovative classroom projects.
The Gala will take place at Maravela’s Banquet Hall in Fox Lake. A festive evening of dinner and dancing is scheduled to begin at 6:00pm. Tickets are available on the Grant Community High School website at www.grantbulldogs.org. Click on “About GCHS” and “GCHS Foundation” to purchase tickets or find additional information. Tickets are $65.00 per person or $500.00 for a table of eight, including open bar. Tickets may be purchased online.
The Foundation is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible.
