• 2018-19 PBIS Fidelity Update

Grant Community High School has been implementing PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) over the last four years. In order to ensure the fidelity of implementation of the core features of PBIS, the Leadership Team has utilized the Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI). This instrument provides a valid, reliable, and efficient measure of the extent to which our school personnel are applying the core features of school-wide positive behavioral interventions and supports.  Our efforts were focused on implementing the Tier I structure, as well as elements of the Tier II system to build a strong foundation for success for all students.

    Graph

As one can see from the graph, we progressed from 37% Tier I fidelity in April of 2016 to 90% in April of 2019. This represents 53% growth over a three year period.  In addition, the PBIS Leadership Team has begun work on building the foundation of our Tier II support system. Tier II is designed to address the needs of our at-risk students. Although we already have some elements of Tier II in place, we still have some work to do over the next few years.

Overall, we have made great progress. Way to go Grant!
