    • Christine A. Sefcik, Ed.D.

      Superintendent

      Christine Sefcik is the Superintendent at Grant Community High School District 124. She previously served as Assistant Superintendent at Grant Community High School District 124 from 1996 to 2012. Dr. Sefcik holds a Bachelor of Science from the Rochester Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Northern Illinois University, and a Doctor of Education from National Louis University. She is an active member of the Fox Lake Chamber of Commerce and the Fox Lake-Round Lake Area Rotary Club. She is currently Vice-President of the Executive Board of the Special Education District of Lake County and co-chair of the College of Lake County High School Alliance.  She has served on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Association of School Business Officials, is the former chairperson of the Northeastern Illinois Association of School Business Officials, and served on the Executive Board of the Lakes Region Schools Benefit Cooperative. Prior to her tenure at Grant Community High School, Dr. Sefcik was employed by the Lake County High Schools Technology Campus and Community Consolidated School District 59.

    • Beth Reich

      Business Manager

      Beth Reich joined Grant Community High School as the Business Manager on July 1, 2012. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership with a concentration in School Business Management from Northern Illinois University. Prior to beginning her position at Grant Community High School, Mrs. Reich worked for Lake Forest School Districts 67 and 115 for the last 12 years in various roles.

    • Jeremy Schmidt

      Principal

      Jeremy Schmidt is the Principal of Grant Community High School. Jeremy began his tenure at Grant as an English teacher, moved into an area administrator position, and in 2013 stepped up to assume the duties and responsibilities of the Principal. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University. Jeremy’s years in the classroom at Grant were spent teaching a broad spectrum of English courses from English 9 to AP Literature. As Area Administrator he oversaw Business, Fine Arts, Foreign Language, Family and Consumer Science, Industrial Technology, and PE/Health/Driver Education, the Library, and all Student Co-Curricular Activities.

    • Ryan Geist

      Assistant Principal

      Ryan Geist is the Assistant Principal of Student Services, Career Center and BDIPS (Behavioral Disciplinary Intervention Program and Supports) at Grant Community High School. He received a Bachelors of Science from Illinois State University and a Masters Degree from Aurora University in Educational Leadership. He taught in the GCHS Social Science department for 15 years, was the assistant athletic director for the 2011-2012 school year, served as Dean of Students from 2012-2015, and was the Head Wrestling Coach for 16 years. As Assistant Principal, Ryan is responsible for the Dean's/Attendance Office, Student Services, Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (Keep it RED), and Security.

    • Dr. Nathan Miller

      Assistant Principal

      Nathan Miller, a Grant alumnus, is the Assistant Principal for Student Operations at Grant Community High School. Nathan began his tenure at GCHS as a science teacher. He proudly taught biology, chemistry, physics, and honors biology during his eight years in the classroom. In addition to his classroom commitments, Dr. Miller served as a girls basketball coach, boys track coach, and a football and soccer announcer. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences Education from Illinois State University, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Aurora University, and a Doctoral Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Aurora University. Dr. Miller oversees the master schedule, district data analysis, residency, state and national compliance, the credit recovery program, the district library, the school bookstore, and serves as the district's Homeless and Foster Care liaison.

    • Stacie Noisey

      Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment

      Stacie Noisey is the Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & Assessment for Grant Community High School. Dr. Noisey oversees state and local standardized assessments including the SAT, PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 8/9, PSAT 10, Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), and Advanced Placement testing. In addition to assessments, Dr. Noisey works to align curriculum and instruction while providing professional development opportunities for staff members. She attended Northeastern State University for her Bachelor of Sciences degree and Masters degree in Education. After completing her education at Northeastern State University, Dr. Noisey received a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Concordia University and a Doctor of Education in Literacy from Judson University. Prior to beginning her position at Grant Community High School, Dr. Noisey served as the Director of Curriculum for Lake Zurich District 95 where she led the EL/Bilingual program, literacy and math interventions, and curriculum development.

    • Leslie Gillengerten

      MTSS & Inclusion Coordinator

      Leslie Gillengerten is the MTSS/Inclusion Coordinator for Grant Community High School. She supervises the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Model of tiered intervention and inclusive processes and procedures across the district. She attended UW-Whitewater for her Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education and Master’s degree in Special Education, as well as her Early Childhood Special Education endorsement, Autism Specialist Certificate, and Transition Specialist Certificate. After completing her education at UW-Whitewater, Ms. Gillengerten received her Director of Special Education licenses from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. Prior to beginning her position at Grant Community High School, Ms. Gillengerten served as the Special Education Coordinator for Antioch High school and was a Special Education Teacher for 15 years.

    • Tom Ross

      Athletic Director

      Tom Ross is the Athletic Director at Grant Community High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale and a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Aurora University. Prior to beginning his position at Grant Community High School, Mr. Ross served as an athletic director, elementary school principal, assistant principal and physical education teacher for other districts.

    • Tina Sonders

      Director of Special Education

      Tina Sonders is the Director of Special Education at Grant Community High School.  She began her tenure at Grant as a special education teacher and case manager in 2002.  In addition to her teaching responsibilities, she has served as TEAM coordinator, 504 case manager, and PBIS internal coach.  Mrs. Sonders holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from Miami University and a Master of Education degree in Educational Leadership from National Louis University.  She holds a type 75 certification in Education Administration and the Special Education Director endorsement.

    • Veronica Lukemeyer

      Divisional Administrator

      Veronica Lukemeyer, a Grant alumnus, is a Divisional Administrator at Grant Community High School.  She previously taught a wide array of English courses, from Reading Workshop to AP Literature, for ten years before moving into her administrative role.  Additionally, she was the Head Cheerleading Coach for five years.  Mrs. Lukemeyer holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from Benedictine University, a Master of Education in Reading and Literacy from Benedictine University, and a Type 75 certification in Educational Leadership from Concordia University.  As a Divisional Administrator, Mrs. Lukemeyer oversees the EL, English, and Social Studies Departments.

    • Blair Schoell

      Divisional Administrator

      Blair Schoell serves as a Divisional Administrator at Grant Community High School.  He oversees Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Foreign Languages, Technology Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Physical Education, Driver’s Education, Health, and Business Education.  Mr. Schoell attended the University of Iowa for his Bachelor of Arts degree in History.  He has a Master’s of Arts in Educational Leadership from Concordia University-Chicago and a Master’s of Public Policy and Administration from Northwestern University.  Previously, Mr. Schoell served as an American History and Government teacher for the past ten years.  Additionally, he has also served as the Assistant Athletic Director, from 2012-2017, and as a Track and Football coach, prior to moving into the Athletic Office.

    • Eric Taubery

      Divisional Administrator

      Eric Taubery is in his 21st year as a member of the Grant High School community. He was a Social Studies teacher for seven years before he became a Divisional Administrator. Mr. Taubery holds a Bachelor of Science in History from Northern Illinois University and a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. As a Divisional Administrator, he is responsible for math and science, in addition to being the Lake Country Technology Campus liaison.
