Members of the National Honor Society are selected by the Faculty Council to serve as models of character, scholarship, service, and leadership to the student body. In addition to serving at school functions, members also assist at Paradise Park and Fox Lake Park District events. Students with a 3.5 GPA who have demonstrated leadership and participate in an ongoing service partnership are ideal candidates for membership in the Grant Community High School chapter and will be invited to an informational meeting at which they may pick up an application in late January.

Katherine Sagritalo has been advising the Grant Chapter of National Honor Society for three years. Working together with each year's Executive Council, Ms. Sagritalo has encouraged members to develop ongoing service partnerships outside of National Honor Society and helped members take greater personal responsibility for meeting their service commitments. Currently, NHS is focused on adding more social events to our calendar and Team Building. Local organizations interested in partnering with National Honor Society are encouraged to contact Ms. Sagritalo no later than April 1st for the upcoming academic year as Grant Chapter members select their service for the next year during their spring adviser meetings.Kristin Borrino was added as a co-advisor for the 2017-2018 school year. She works closely with the Publicist to visually demonstrate National Honor Society activities. Ms. Borrino is responsible for introducing new service ideas and a twitter page to the group.
