Family & Consumer Science

The belief that family life is important to all people is the basis of the Department of Family and
Consumer Sciences. It is believed that family life may be improved through education. Our
program provides the kind of learning that fosters citizenship and intelligent consumer practices
thus fortifying the home and enhancing the individual. The program includes techniques and
skills the student may utilize to successfully confront situations of personal and family life. The
Family and Consumer Science Program realizes the need for students to evaluate situations and
make rational decisions regarding their present and future life experiences.
